Review: Baby Apps

Review: Baby Apps

The average mobile phone user only uses 8 apps per month, yet there are countless baby apps and parenting apps. I get it. In a way, babies are kind of like smart phones: frequent upgrades in what they can do, you always want to carry them with you, and of course, a built-in alarm clock.

Here are the baby apps that we actually open, use, and enjoy.

1. Glow Baby
We swear by the Glow Baby App because it’s an easy way to log nursing info,  track other important baby bodily functions, and also has some really helpful blog articles (much like this blog, am I right??). It makes pediatricians visits even easier because we have info to share.

Download for: IOS | Android

2. The Wonder Weeks

What is Lady O thinking about? A frequent question I have. Well this app can’t answer that question exactly, but it does let you know what your baby is going through in terms of development, which it calls ‘leaps.’ From recognizing patterns to controlling their own appendages, it gives a lot of perspective on what our tiny humans are going through. And there’s a handy stormy v. sunny calendar (long live sunny). But whatever the forecast says, the Wonder Weeks app, which started as a book by the way, is a great download.

3. Spotify / Sonos
Play that music for dancing. And then also play that white noise for sleeping.

Honorable mention: the NestCam app is also a FUBA (frequently used baby app, but requires the hardware to go with it.).

Technical note: the usage of these apps will depend on whether or not you can reach your phone while holding that new bundle... Happy apping, and feel free to share any others that you’ve found!
