Review: NestCam as Baby Monitor
NestCam as Best Baby Monitor
The ability to set Ottavia down and let her play and potentially (hopefully) doze off for a little while is important to her development and also our sanity.
A baby monitor is a great registry item because of the price point. However, the baby monitor space is crowded. Based on reviews and research, we chose the NestCam (indoor) and having finally had a chance to put it to use, it was definitely the right choice.
Reasons why the Nest Security Cam (indoor) as a baby monitor rules:
Great picture and audio quality, including alerts, short term storage, and two way audio
The mobile app is easy to use and accessible by more than one device, making it extra flexible
Can be repurposed for non-baby stuff later
Essentially it’s both more affordable and more modern then the baby-monitor-only options.
Also, the alerts are fun to check in on while at work. Like the time Lady O was opposed to a mid-afternoon nap
Open Question: Why would anyone resist an afternoon nap?
All in all, I highly recommend the NestCam as the best baby monitor for being your extra set of eyes and ears in the baby monitor game.
